Sash Chain
CENTURION high strength alloy sash chain has twice the breaking strength of brass sash chain or bronze sash chain, and its increased wear and corrosion resistance have made it the standard for use in high quality weight and pulley windows. We manufacture CENTURION sash chain in #45 size to fit most ball bearing sash pulleys, and we stock it in 100 foot reels in the four finishes shown below.

NOTE: When asked about selecting sash chain, we have always advised our customers to use the strongest sash chain that will fit the pulley. That advice has never been truer than it is today. Sash chain breakage is expensive and dangerous. We developed CENTURION high strength alloy sash chain to fill the need for a stronger and more durable sash chain that looks better, lasts longer, and has twice the breaking strength of brass or bronze chain, yet costs no more.

Sash Cord: Our pre-stretched, premium waxed cotton sash cord has an inner synthetic stranded cord for increased strength and flexibility. The outer covering of plaited, waxed and polished premium grade cotton is designed specifically for use with pulley systems and will give many years of smooth and trouble-free performance. We offer two sizes, #8 (1/4") and #10 (5/16"). Both come in 100' hanks.
Sash Chain is preferred over sash cord in instances where greater longevity is required such as high quality residential construction, restoration work, and public buildings. Our solid bronze, solid brass, and stainless steel sash chains will give many years of reliable service.
